It is not easy to realise that this building encloses a noria, but if you look at the drawing in [104] you may be able to identify the rest of the drum, which supports the pot-garland.

Elevation of the noria near Naples
The roof protects the right angle gear and the donkey from the sun. The same goes for the pot-garland wheel [105]. The water is raised about ten metres to irrigate a field, which is situated seven metres above the well.

This Noria was abandoned before 1970. It is built on top of a ruin dating from the Late Roman period.
